He attended Marylhurst College and Portland State University, where he was a member of the percussion ensemble under the direction of Tomas Svoboda. He also attended the Ornette Coleman's Creative Music Studios, where he studied with Karl Berger and Jack DeJohnette on vibes and drums, respectively and the Cornish Institute with Sam Rivers and Dave Holland.

In this class, we delve into the diverse and unique wine styles that Australia has to offer. Known for its vast and varied wine regions, Australia showcases a wide array of grape varieties and winemaking techniques that set it apart in the wine world.

Exploring Regions: We begin by exploring the major wine regions of Australia, from the famous Barossa Valley and Margaret River to the cooler climates of the Adelaide Hills. Each region brings its own terroir and influences the style of wines produced there.

Key Grape Varieties: Our wine session covers key grape varieties that thrive in Australia, such as Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, and many of the new varietals brought by up and coming producers. We will discuss how the climate and soil of each region impact the flavor profile of these varietals.

While her themes revolve around love and longing, her soothing vocals are a balm for any heart. Marquez got on-the-job training in Havana, where she recorded with members of the Afro Cuban Allstars. Sana Locura (2004) reached the top of Latin jazz and Salsa charts in the US and Europe. A frequent visitor to the island, she has appeared on Cuban television and radio and has performed throughout the country.

Seattle born trumpet player, composer, pianist and bandleader, Pablo Rivarola has been playing music for as long as he can remember. Arriving in Portland in 2018, Pablo quickly made a name for himself as one of Portland's premier musicians to hear. With a combination of blinding ability on his horn and a warm, sensitive sound Pablo's playing has caught the attention of Portland's jazz and neo-soul heavyweights. His compositions range from somber, thoughtful melodies with rich harmony, to burning swing, to infectious grooves. Whether he's playing trumpet and piano at the same time, or taking an acrobatic solo, Pablo always brings a unique sound that you don't want to miss. Currently he is gearing up to release his debut record featuring a carefully curated selection of his best compositions.
